The film Farmer's Bride and the series Seven Doors dominated the recent Best of Nollywood awards. The ceremony at the Wole Soyinka center in Lagos gave the top movie and director prizes to Adebayo Tijani's Farmer's Bride.
Femi Adebayo's Seven Doors was the biggest technical winner. It collected four awards for production design, special effects, cinematography, and best series. The lead acting honors went to Gideon Okeke and Padita Agu for their work in Black Out. Supporting actor awards went to Mercy Aigbe and Taye Ayimoro.
Other notable winners included Tobi Bakre and Folu Storms for an on-screen kiss in Red Cycle. The movie Abanisete won for best indigenous film. Special recognition awards were given to industry figures Steve Ayorinde, Funke Akindele, and Shaibu Husseini.
