‘Seven Doors’ locks four wins, ‘Farmers Bride’ takes top prize

Femi Adebayo's series Seven Doors crushed the Best of Nollywood Awards at the National Theatre in Lagos by grabbing four technical wins, like production design, special effects, cinematography, and best series. Farmers Bride took the biggest prizes for movie of the year, plus director of the year, while Blackout swept the lead acting categories with Gideon Okeke and Padita Agu winning their respective trophies.

Mercy Aigbe scored best supporting actress for My Mother Is a Witch, and Taye Ayimoro grabbed best supporting actor for Son of the Soil. The chemistry award went to Tobi Bakre and Folu Storms for their scene in Red Cycle, while Abanisete won best indigenous film. Razaaq Adoti and Una Idoko got recognized as most promising newcomers, and the event handed out special honors to Steve Ayorinde, Funke Akindele, and Shaibu Husseini.
