100 Pakistani agricultural professionals depart for China under PM's training program

One hundred Pakistani agriculture graduates will travel to China today for specialized education at Southwest University of Science and Technology. The Prime Minister's Special Capacity Building Program sponsors this training opportunity. These young professionals represent the first group in a larger initiative that will eventually educate 1,000 Pakistani agricultural experts at Chinese institutions. The program focuses on modern farming techniques that use advanced technology and adapt to climate challenges. Participants will return to Pakistan with new knowledge to improve local agricultural practices.

The Ministry of National Food Security and Research hosted a farewell ceremony in Islamabad before the departure. Secretary Amir Muhyuddin addressed the trainees and praised their dedication to advancing Pakistan's farming sector. He expressed confidence that their newly acquired skills will benefit agricultural development throughout the country. The training program represents a collaborative effort between Pakistan and China to strengthen food security. Officials expect these graduates to become leaders in transforming traditional farming methods.
