10K Audio launches Gyro instrument with real-time loop engine

Berlin-based 10K Audio launched Gyro, a loop manipulation instrument that combines multi-sampled sounds and wavetables through a four-layer engine with modulation and effects. The software offers 1,450 presets in the Pro version and 350 in the Play edition, limiting users to a Perform view with macro controls.

The real-time loop engine triggers and reshapes audio, while generative patterns adapt across 150 chord sets without requiring music-theory knowledge. A hybrid sample and wavetable system layers sources from organs and pianos to vocals and mallets with effects that cover chorus, multiband compression, tape emulation, delay and reverb. The interface uses GPU acceleration with shader-driven visuals that respond to sound.

Pattern and Chord pages offer sequencer control alongside Sound, Effect and Mod pages for synthesis adjustments. Users retain commercial rights to output created with the instrument. The software operates through VST3 and AU formats on Windows 10 and macOS 13.4 systems. Gyro Play costs 10 euros while Gyro Pro sells for 149 euros with upgrade options available.
