21 Savage backs Jamaica with a match relief drive

The rapper 21 Savage has partnered with the Bob and Rita Marley Foundation to establish a hurricane relief fund for Jamaica. Their initiative, a 48-hour campaign, will match all public contributions dollar-for-dollar through their Leading by Example Foundation. The effort aims to provide emergency supplies, including shelter, food, and water, to communities affected by Hurricane Melissa.

21 Savage, who has familial ties to Jamaica, explained that a recent visit before the storm reinforced his desire to help. The collaboration leverages the Bob and Rita Marley Foundation's established community presence to distribute aid effectively. The hurricane caused extensive damage, displacing numerous families and disrupting essential services.

This matching campaign represents one of the most rapidly organized private relief efforts focused on delivering immediate and long-term support to the island's residents.
