4H The Gambia Holds National Gathering to Inspire Youth for Change

Young people from across Gambia came together for a special meeting last month. The 4H organization held their biggest event of the year at Farafenni Youth Centre. Members traveled from North Bank and Central River areas to attend the gathering. The group picked "Inspire for Change" as their main message for 2025. Leaders wanted everyone to see how much progress they made during the past year.

Alieu Ceesay leads the national 4H program and spoke about why these meetings matter. He told the crowd that young people need chances to help their country grow stronger. The organization works hard to give youth better opportunities across Gambia. Board members talked about money matters and future plans during the event. Several guest speakers shared ideas about making communities better places to live.

The ceremony honored people who served on the leadership team before stepping down. Each person received a special certificate to thank them for their hard work. Gibriel Dem chairs the national board and gave one of the main speeches. Musa Chaw handles money and office duties for the group. Alagie Saidy came from Salam Financial Services to talk with attendees about business skills.

The 4H movement connects with similar groups around the world and gets support from Norway. Local clubs meet regularly to teach young people about farming, leadership and community service. This annual gathering helps everyone stay connected and learn from each other. The event showed how much the organization values good leadership and honest management practices.
