A R Rahman meets Sam Altman to collaborate on Secret Mountain virtual band

Academy Award winner A R Rahman announced his recent meeting with OpenAI Chief Executive Officer Sam Altman through social media platform X. The renowned composer discussed his virtual global band project called Secret Mountain during their conversation. Their dialogue focused on methods to enhance Indian talent through artificial intelligence applications for solving long-term societal issues.

Rahman shared details of the productive discussion that took place at Altman's office. The meeting explored opportunities for Indian creators to leverage advanced technology tools. Rahman expressed enthusiasm about future collaborations that could benefit his country's creative community.

The celebrated musician continues work on multiple high-profile projects. His upcoming assignments feature the ambitious Ramayana film series starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi alongside German composer Hans Zimmer. Producer Namit Malhotra supports this mythological epic directed by Nitesh Tiwari with planned releases during Diwali 2026 and 2027.

Rahman also composes music for Killer, marking director S J Suryah's return after ten years. The action-filled entertainer stars Preethi Asrani and receives backing from Sree Gokulam Movies production house.
