A Bulawayo man discovered his wife's body near their Old Pumula residence hours after she had gone out for an evening at a sports bar. The victim, Sibonile Beval Ngwenya, was found with multiple cuts and signs of a struggle, according to police. Broken beer bottles were also observed at the scene.
Acting Bulawayo Provincial Police Spokesperson Assistant Inspector Thandekile Ndlovu confirmed the incident, stating that a neighbor first alerted the husband to the discovery. The body was later transferred to United Bulawayo Hospitals for a post-mortem examination.
Authorities have opened an investigation and are requesting public assistance to locate a suspect.
