AC Milan eye Robert Lewandowski for 2026 free move

AC Milan is pursuing Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski as a potential free transfer ahead of his contract expiration next summer. The Polish forward has declined an approach from Fenerbahce and expressed his intention to remain competitive at the top level, giving the Italian club optimism despite interest from Saudi Arabian teams offering substantially higher wages.

Lewandowski indicated he would carefully consider all possibilities before deciding on his future destination. Milan previously employed a similar strategy with Luka Modric, who joined from Real Madrid after allowing his deal to expire and has continued contributing effectively at age 40.

The veteran striker joined Barcelona from Bayern Munich for 45 million euros and has netted seven times across 12 matches this campaign in domestic and European competitions.
