Accra, Ghana, President John Mahama vows cash flood for Papao Farms

President John Dramani Mahama announced comprehensive government support during his Friday visit to Papao Farms in Accra. The agricultural facility will be transformed into a multifaceted center, combining production, training, and research capabilities. Mahama praised the National Service personnel and volunteers for their dedication to the project. He confirmed discussions with the Finance Minister about the farm's development potential. The President plans to escort the Minister to the site upon his return from overseas travel.

Funding requests will cover processing plants, accommodation facilities, transportation, and solar energy systems. Mahama emphasized the Minister's anticipated cooperation once he witnesses the project firsthand. The initiative represents more than food production by serving as a platform for youth development. Regional agricultural advancement remains a primary objective for the administration. West African nations will study this model farm created by Ghanaian personnel and volunteers.
