Activist hails Trump as ‘Apostle Paul’ for Nigeria airstrikes

A Nigerian lawyer is calling Trump the apostle Paul for bombing Sokoto. Activist Maduabuchi Idam praised the Christmas Day airstrikes authorized by President Donald Trump as a strategic defense of Christians. He stated that the military action gives hope to oppressed Nigerians of all faiths. Idam thanked Trump for keeping a promise to intervene against terrorists, but cautioned that it is not yet a victory for vulnerable communities in the north. He argued the motivation behind the strikes, whether genuine or strategic, matters less than the hope they provide.

Idam framed the U.S. president as a global defender of the Christian faith, rekindling belief among the persecuted. He called for a sustained offensive across all affected areas in Nigeria. The lawyer also suggested the Nigerian military needs to understand the intelligence methods now being used, stating that excuses are over with American involvement. His statement positions the foreign intervention as a necessary and welcome shift in the conflict.
