Acustica targets Moog's classic filter warmth with Mahogany plugin

Acustica Audio launches Mahogany, a virtual instrument that models classic Moog filter circuits through advanced digital processing techniques. The software combines the company's Hyper engine with modulation systems from their Marea series. Musicians gain access to three low-pass filter models and adjustable drive stages for creating warm tones or aggressive saturation effects.

The plugin features comprehensive sound-shaping tools such as ADSR envelopes, versatile LFO modes, and envelope followers. Acustica provides three distinct versions to meet different user needs. The standard edition offers realistic 3D graphics resembling hardware modules, while the Live variant optimizes performance for real-time applications. The Flat version presents simplified 2D interfaces for efficient workflow during complex mixing sessions.

The software supports Windows 10 and macOS 10.15 systems through VST3, AU, and AAX formats. Acustica offers promotional pricing at 89 euros through August 12, 2025, before standard pricing reaches 159 euros.
