ADMARC Gets a New Team

Malawi has picked brand new directors for ADMARC, the country's Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation. Peter Simbani, who serves as Comptroller of Statutory Corporations, put his name on the papers, making these changes official starting March 26, 2025. The former board members finished their time in office, creating the need for fresh leadership in the organization.

The government selected Pempho Likongwe to lead the group as Chairperson. Six other people joined the board as regular members: Rev. Dr. Archwells Moffat Katani, Daniel Alfred Chatonya, Constance Tcherani, Olivia Mchaju Liwewe, Inkosi Msakambew, and Sella Msiska. The team also includes three automatic members because of their jobs: the Secretary for Agriculture, the Secretary to the Treasury, and the Comptroller of Statutory Corporations.

Leaders in Malawi believe strongly that these newly appointed directors will guide ADMARC with skill and watchful eyes. They expect the board to help the corporation meet all its goals effectively. The government feels sure that these directors bring the right mix of talent to push the agricultural marketing body forward during their term of service.
