Advisor shrugs off drama, doubles down on party unity fight

A presidential advisor just doubled down on his inflammatory remarks, calling them a good fight. Paul Tungwarara refused to retract statements made in Marange, dismissing anger from ambitious party members. He claimed his words were a personal reflection, not attacks, and warned against divisions within ZANU PF.

Speaking in Nyanga during a fund disbursement event, he singled out individuals falsely using the president's name for extortion. Tungwarara emphasized a need for party order, stating readiness for confrontations to realize national development goals. He argued that many causing confusion misconstrued his Marange comments.

The event involved handing out cash for grassroots programs in Nyanga North and South constituencies. Each area received a set amount for party empowerment initiatives. Three urban constituencies in Mutare remain pending their allocation.

Additional funds were directed to war collaborators, ex-detainees, widows, and a local clinic. Schools in Nyanga South received internet kits, with a pledge for more across Manicaland province. Tungwarara framed his outspoken stance as consistent, referencing past disputes with other party members.

He accused current critics of hiding during previous internal conflicts, suggesting similar disruptive spirits are resurfacing. The advisor stressed his deep ties to Manicaland as motivation for preventing regional divides.

Provincial chairman Tawanda Mukodza applauded Tungwarara's unifying role in the region. State Minister Misheck Mugadza urged productive investment of the distributed funds. Local parliament members Chido Sanyatwe and Supa Mandiwanzira praised the initiative and the advisor's effectiveness.

The ceremony highlighted ongoing party efforts to bolster grassroots support ahead of future electoral cycles.
