AFZ declares war on drug abuse with Harare marathon at Falcon Golf

Zimbabwe's Air Force will conduct a half marathon at Falcon Golf Club this Sunday to combat drug and substance abuse among youth populations. The athletic event supports President Emmerson Mnangagwa's recently launched national resource mobilization campaign against narcotics. Wing Commander Donovan Muroyiwa emphasized that physical fitness and mental discipline serve as powerful deterrents to substance dependency. The Commander Air Force of Zimbabwe Charity Fund will direct all proceeds toward anti-drug initiatives and assistance for disadvantaged communities.

Defense personnel, students, civic organizations, and general public members have registered for the awareness race. The charity fund previously supported Siamuchembu School in Gokwe North, Denzva Clinic in Rusape, and girls facing period poverty challenges. Cabinet ministers, business leaders, and faith communities have endorsed the nationwide anti-drug mobilization effort. The Air Force frames the marathon as both a fitness promotion and a community development initiative targeting future generations.
