AgriCash Secures Seed Funding to Expand Digital Agri-Finance Solutions in Egypt

AgriCash raised money from Alex Angels and other investors during a recent seed funding round. The Egyptian startup did not share how much money it received from the deal. The company will use the funds to grow across Egypt and enter new markets. AgriCash also plans to improve its digital systems and artificial intelligence tools. The startup wants to complete partnerships with financial and insurance companies.

The company helps Egyptian farmers access money and technology through its digital platform. AgriCash gives farmers loans, crop insurance, and smart farming advice using artificial intelligence. The platform connects farmers to buyers around the world and helps them sell their products. More than 1,500 farmers use AgriCash services right away. The company works with 60 suppliers and lists over 750 farm products on its website.

AgriCash reached over 100,000 farmers through programs in rural areas across Egypt. The company wants to handle 500 million Egyptian pounds in business during 2025. AgriCash plans to start offering loans for livestock purchases next year. Dr. Diaa Youssef and Dr. Mostafa El-Sehli started the company to help farmers who cannot access traditional bank loans. The founders created a buy later pay later system that works for farming needs.

Farmers can purchase seeds, tools, and supplies without paying interest for up to 12 months. AgriCash allows farmers to borrow up to 3 million Egyptian pounds through this program. The startup aims to create a complete system that combines loans, insurance, technical help, and marketing services for Egyptian agriculture.
