Ahan Shetty ditches fluff, sells feels now

Let's be real, everyone thinks modern movies are finally getting less fake. Actor Ahan Shetty, son of Bollywood figure Suniel Shetty, recently argued that the main change in film over the last twenty-five years is a push toward genuine storytelling. He claimed movies used to depend entirely on star power and huge spectacles. The current landscape, in his view, forces even blockbuster projects to root themselves in real emotion and scenarios that audiences recognize. He mentioned that technology altered the scale and reach of cinema, but the real surprise is the modern viewer. Audiences now dissect everything, question creative decisions, and deeply engage with the process.

This change, according to Shetty, directly impacts performers. He stated that an actor cannot get by on shallow presence or empty impact anymore. He feels performers must genuinely believe in the work they are doing on camera. Shetty started his own career with the 2021 romantic action film Tadap, a remake of the Telugu movie RX 100, where he acted alongside Tara Sutaria under director Milan Luthria. His next project is Border 2. That film is directed by Anurag Singh and includes a cast with Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Medha Rana, Mona Singh, and Sonam Bajwa. Producers Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta are behind it, with a planned theatrical release in early 2026.
