The national carrier is restarting direct flights between Harare and London Gatwick using an Airbus A330-300, with Transport Minister Felix Mhona heading up the launch ceremony at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport.
A Spanish carrier is supplying the actual plane, pilots, and maintenance through an ACMI deal, while Air Zimbabwe handles ticketing and the commercial side. Three weekly rotations will run in each direction, and the airline is dangling promo fares starting around $495 one-way or $900 for a round trip.
