Algeria's top diplomat threw a party Saturday for his country's freedom day. Ambassador Dr Abdelouahab Saidani praised the friendship between Algeria and Bangladesh during the celebration. The event marked 63 years since Algeria broke free from French rule. Bangladesh's Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury attended as the main guest. Business leaders from both countries also joined the festivities.
Saidani bragged about how tight the two nations have become over the years. He talked about new business deals and upcoming visits between government officials. The ambassador reminded everyone that Algeria was the first Arab nation to welcome Bangladesh as a friend back in 1971.
