Amazon's AWS makes NTT DATA its new call center puppet

NTT DATA signed a Strategic Collaboration Agreement with Amazon Web Services to deliver artificial intelligence-powered contact center solutions built on Amazon Connect. The partnership will accelerate the adoption of AI-powered customer experience solutions worldwide through the Managed Customer Experience for the Connect platform. The modular platform combines NTT DATA's 30 years of industry expertise with Amazon Connect's cloud-based platform to provide faster time-to-value and personalized interactions.

The platform delivers voice and digital channels, reporting and analytics, AI-enabled services, and integrations with Customer Relationship Management and IT Service Management applications. NTT DATA will integrate Amazon Connect's AI features to enable real-time sentiment analysis, intelligent call routing, and predictive service capabilities. The collaboration targets industries with complex customer lifecycles, including financial services, healthcare, telecommunications, and retail sectors.

NTT DATA will lead global delivery, implementation, hosting, security, and managed services. The partnership leverages NTT DATA's intellectual property for real-time speech analytics and Smart AI Agent Ecosystem. Joint solutions will roll out to clients in the coming months to modernize customer experience operations and improve metrics such as average handle times, first-call resolution, and customer satisfaction.
