AMD adds its slowest RDNA 3 GPU, the anemic Radeon PRO W7400

AMD introduces the Radeon PRO W7400 graphics card as its latest budget workstation solution built on RDNA 3 architecture. The company positions this entry-level GPU alongside its expanding professional graphics lineup while maintaining focus on power efficiency. Workers in compact workstation environments will benefit from the card's single-slot design and modest power requirements. The W7400 delivers 1792 stream processors paired with 8GB of GDDR6 memory for basic professional applications. AMD targets users who need reliable graphics performance without premium pricing.

Performance specifications reveal 7.9 teraflops of single-precision compute power from 28 compute units and associated ray tracing hardware. Memory bandwidth reaches 172.8 GB/s through slower 10.8 Gbps GDDR6 compared to higher-end models. The card consumes just 55 watts of power, making it the most efficient RDNA 3 professional GPU available. Users can install the 6.6-inch card without additional power connectors since PCIe slot power suffices. AMD has not announced pricing or release dates for this workstation graphics solution.
