AMD readies a budget RX 9070 GRE for cost savvy users

AMD's new graphics card, called the Radeon RX 9070 GRE, is in the works. It won't cost as much as the other cards in the RX 9000 series. Zhongzheng Computer spilled the beans on WeChat back on March 9th. They said the 9070 GRE would give you more bang for your buck if you couldn't swing the RX 9070 XT. The RX 9060 XT should hit shelves later on. The 9070 GRE is perfect if you want high-end performance without the hefty price tag of the RX 9070 XT.

We know the Radeon RX 9070 GRE is legit, thanks to sources like Baigai Kyoka. They confirmed it's the real deal and shared some juicy details. The 9070 GRE will probably use AMD's RDNA 4 architecture and the NAVI 48 GPU core. That's the same core as the RX 9070 XT and RX 9070. But here's the catch - the 9070 GRE will have slower memory bandwidth and less memory overall. We're talking 12GB instead of the full 16 GB. The memory bus will likely be 192 bits wide. That means it won't be as powerful, but it'll be easier on your wallet.

Word on the street is that AMD will first release the Radeon RX 9070 GRE in China. They're aiming for gamers who want serious performance without breaking the bank. The flagship models are just too pricey for some folks. The 9070 GRE seems like the perfect middle ground.

AMD hasn't made an official announcement yet, but all signs point to the Radeon RX 9070 GRE being a real thing. It'll be exciting to see how it stacks up against the competition. Gamers are always looking for ways to get the most performance for their money. The 9070 GRE could be a game-changer for budget-conscious enthusiasts.
