AMD Ryzen AI Refresh Series Leaked, Featuring 10-Core and 12-Core SKUs

AMD appears ready to launch new processors after shipping records revealed upcoming computer chips. Technology watchers found evidence of three different models moving through supply chains. The chips carry 10-core and 12-core designs that boost artificial intelligence performance. Experts believe these represent the Gorgon Point series that AMD mentioned at recent events. The company builds these processors on Zen 5 technology with improvements over current models.

Shipping documents show specific product identification numbers for each processor model. Industry sources identified the chips as Ryzen AI 9 HX 475 Pro, Ryzen AI 9 HX 475, and Ryzen AI 9 HX 465. These names remain unofficial since AMD has not announced final product labels. The processors use FP8 socket connections that match current Strix Point chips. Experts ruled out next-generation Medusa Point processors because those require larger FP10 packages.

Gorgon Point processors deliver enhanced artificial intelligence capabilities compared to existing models. The new chips provide more than 55 AI TOPS performance versus 50 AI TOPS from current processors. CPU cores maintain Zen 5 architecture design with graphics using RDNA 3.5 technology. AMD plans to offer multiple versions with different core counts and clock speeds. The refresh series will include R9, R7, R5, and R3 models with core counts starting at four processors.
