Anisa Arifa Sits HSC Exam After Missing First Paper Due to Mother's Illness

A student from Dhaka Education Board Laboratory School and College took her delayed HSC exam on Sunday. Anisa Arifa sat for the Bangla Second Paper test at Government Bangla College center in Mirpur. The exam started at 10:00 am and she arrived before 9:30 am without problems. Exam officials confirmed she entered the testing hall successfully. Her previous attempt had failed when she missed the first day of exams.

Anisa had arrived late on June 26 for her Bangla First Paper exam. Her mother's illness caused the delay and she reached the center 90 minutes after the start time. Test supervisors refused to allow her entry into the exam hall. Video footage showed her crying outside the building and spread across social media platforms. The emotional images sparked public support for the student's situation.

Md. Hafizur Rahman serves as acting member secretary of the exam center. He reported that Anisa came after 9:00 am on Sunday morning. Professor Kamrul Hasan from Bangla College confirmed her timely arrival. Officials noted no complications occurred during her second attempt. The Ministry of Education had promised to make a humanitarian decision about her case after the viral video incident.
