Anisimova crushes Noskova in China Open blowout

Amanda Anisimova captured the China Open championship on Sunday with a 6-0, 2-6, 6-2 victory against Linda Noskova in the hard-court final. The third-seeded American secured the match with a backhand winner down the line before falling to the court in celebration after claiming her first title at the tournament.

Anisimova dominated the opening set in 23 minutes by converting three break points, but Noskova fought back to force a deciding set after breaking serve early in the second. The American regained control and won the final four games to close out the one-hour, 46-minute contest. Anisimova, who defeated fellow American Coco Gauff in the semifinals, earned her second WTA 1000 title of the season after winning in Doha in February.

The 20-year-old Noskova had saved three match points in the semifinals to become the youngest Czech player to reach a WTA 1000 final since 2009. Anisimova joins Serena Williams and Gauff as the third American to win the tournament.
