Anwar calls out PAS for its holy gambling problem

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim rejected claims that his administration opposes Islam during a PKR anniversary event. Opposition politicians exploit religious matters for political advantage, he said. The government increased funding for Islamic programs and tahfiz schools while providing educational opportunities for Quran memorizers.

Anwar contrasted his policies with the previous Perikatan Nasional government, which expanded gambling activities to 22 special draws. The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission operates without political interference under his leadership. Officials who engage in corruption face prosecution regardless of position.

The administration promotes national unity through balanced development across Malaysia's regions. Strategic semiconductor investments will advance the country's technological capabilities. Malaysia belongs to all citizens regardless of background, Anwar emphasized.
