Anwar Ibrahim Discusses Islam, Diplomacy, and Knowledge in Italy

Malaysia's top leader reached out to Muslims living in Italy during his European trip. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim sat down with local Islamic leaders for important talks. He spoke with religious heads from major Muslim groups in Rome. The meetings focused on helping Muslim communities grow stronger across the world. Leaders also talked about fighting negative views of Islam through smart conversations.

Anwar promised that Malaysia will keep promoting peaceful Islam that accepts different people. He wants to spread Islamic teachings that focus on balance and getting along with others. The prime minister believes education and working together across countries can help achieve this goal. He gave special religious books to the Muslim community as gifts. Italy has about 2.7 million Muslims living there right now.

The Malaysian leader also thanked two Italian men for translating his old book into their language. Andrea Fais and Stefano Bonilauri worked hard to make The Asian Renaissance readable for Italian people. Anwar wrote this book more than twenty years ago about Asian countries becoming important again. The book talks about how knowledge and fairness can help balance world power.

Anwar thinks this translation work helps connect Eastern and Western thinking. He believes the book can inspire people to care about human rights and justice everywhere. The prime minister sees these kinds of projects as ways to bring different parts of the world closer together. He hopes the ideas will keep helping people fight for what matters most.
