APC Forum urges Tinubu to rethink Plateau appointments

A regional political coalition wants Nigeria's president to reconsider federal appointments tied to Plateau State, arguing that campaign loyalists face exclusion while individuals who failed to deliver electoral victories receive government positions. The North-Central All Progressives Congress Forum told Bola Tinubu, through spokesperson Saleh Zazzaga, that recent nominees from the area lacked success at their own polling stations during the previous presidential contest.

The organization expressed frustration that efforts to recruit Plateau Governor Caleb Mutfwang from the opposition face obstruction from APC members seeking personal advancement ahead of the upcoming elections. Forum representatives questioned why party chairman Nentawe Yilwatda and ministerial appointee Bernard Mohammed Doro gained national roles despite limited electoral performance, while workers who secured votes remain sidelined.

The coalition urged presidential intervention to facilitate the governor's potential defection, which strategists view as essential for delivering millions of regional votes during the next campaign cycle.
