Pastor Giwa urges Tinubu to arm Igboho, Adams against terrorists

Adewale Giwa, a senior pastor at The Second Coming of Christ Ministry, has urged President Bola Tinubu to adopt a specific strategy for tackling Nigeria's worsening security crisis. He recommended that the president arm prominent figures, Sunday Igboho and Gani Adams, with advanced weaponry to confront terrorist groups directly. The pastor suggested this approach as an alternative to potential foreign military intervention.

His comments followed the mass abduction of students and staff from a school in Niger State and a separate attack on a church in Kwara State. Giwa asserted that empowering these regional leaders to clear terrorist enclaves from the nation's forests would demonstrate a serious commitment to ending the violence.
