Apex Legends Patch 2.86 Finally Kills Ranked Crash Hell

Respawn Entertainment pushed out a silent update for Apex Legends on May 29. Console players see version 2.86/1.000.010 appear on their systems. The patch does not add new content but focuses on fixing current problems. Game crashes during ranked matches have been resolved through this update. Players no longer face system freezes when leaving competitive games.

Several technical problems remain under investigation across different platforms. PlayStation users report crashes when trying to play the Prodigy mode. Xbox players experience frame rate drops during Bloodhound's ultimate ability. Nintendo Switch owners see visual glitches in the lobby and Thunderdome areas. High CPU usage affects some computer players during gameplay sessions.

Character-specific bugs affect multiple legends and their equipment. Sparrow's Noble Bandit skin shows a broken back pose during preview screens. The inactive EVO Harvester keeps its collision detection from when active. Fuse's Mythic Ordnance skin conflicts with his passive ability mechanics. Some Alternator weapon skins lose their iron sight attachments completely. Retro Pack progress bars display incorrectly but still track player advancement properly.
