Ariana Grande Mourns Grandma Nonna at 99

Ariana Grande announced Tuesday that her 99-year-old grandmother Marjorie Grande died peacefully at home. The pop star calls her grandmother Nonna and shared news about her death on Instagram Stories. Family members surrounded Marjorie during her final weeks before she passed away. Grande thanked fans for their support and asked for privacy during this difficult time. The singer's mother Joan shared the same family statement on social media.

Marjorie Grande was the Grammy winner's maternal grandmother who lived an extraordinary life. Brother Frankie Grande posted his tribute saying he misses Nonna more than words can express. He believes she watches over him and remains proud of his accomplishments. The family shared many special moments and belly laughs throughout the years. Marjorie married her husband Frank when she was just 11 years old.

The grandmother appeared on several public events with Ariana and even sang on her album. Marjorie made history at age 98 as the oldest artist to appear on Billboard Hot 100 charts. She was featured on the song Ordinary Things from Eternal Sunshine album. Grande took her grandmother to see the Wicked movie in their hometown of Boca Raton. Marjorie expressed pride in her granddaughter's amazing talent and success.
