Roughly US$119,220 vanished from a Mukuru office after armed robbers ambushed an employee right in Bulawayo's CBD yesterday morning.

How the robbery went down
  • A Mukuru employee got intercepted while parking near Jason Moyo Street around 7:08 am.
  • Suspects forced her inside and made her crack open a Chubb safe.
  • Cash totaling US$78,141 and R501,820 got swept into bags.

  • Robbers ripped out the digital video recorder storing surveillance footage.
