Gen Abdel Fattah al-Burhan returned to Khartoum after the army took control of the city's airport. Sudan's military leader visited the presidential palace, where soldiers cheered as he announced, "Khartoum is free." The army recaptured this important building on Friday, along with other government places that RSF fighters had taken over. A top army official told the BBC that they had completely secured the airport and might push out the rest of the RSF fighters by evening.
