Arsenal close to signing Viktor Gyökeres drops interest in Šeško

Arsenal bosses have their eyes on Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting Lisbon. The Gunners want to bring the goal machine to London for next season. Arsenal chiefs think Gyökeres can solve their striker problems right away. The North London club has been watching him score goals for months. Sporting Lisbon knows Arsenal wants their star player badly.

The English giants have walked away from signing Benjamin Šeško from Leipzig. Arsenal loved the Slovenian striker but could not pay his massive price tag. Leipzig demanded 100 million euros for their young forward. Sky Sports confirmed Arsenal tried hard to land Šeško but failed. The German club refused to lower their asking price for the talented striker.

Šeško remains one of Europe's hottest strikers right after his great performances. Chelsea and Manchester United also wanted to sign the Leipzig star. Arsenal decided to chase other targets instead of paying the huge fee. The Gunners believe they can find better value elsewhere. Gyökeres might cost much less than the Slovenian international.

Arsenal managers think the Swedish striker fits their style perfectly. Gyökeres has scored plenty of goals for Sporting this season. The Portuguese club might accept a reasonable offer for their forward. Arsenal fans hope their team can close the deal quickly. The transfer window gives them limited time to complete the signing.
