AS Roma locks up Mile Svilar until 2030 in Serie A power grab

AS Roma has locked down their star keeper Mile Svilar with a massive contract extension that runs through June 2030. The Belgian shot-stopper has become absolutely crucial for the Italian giants since his arrival back in 2022. Club officials made the announcement official through their website after securing the 25-year-old for the long haul. Svilar proved his worth during an incredible campaign that saw him post 16 clean sheets across Serie A matches. The goalkeeper helped Roma achieve something special by recording the strongest defensive numbers among Europe's top five leagues during 2025.

Roma managed to shut out opponents for an impressive 11 complete matches with Svilar between the posts. His performances earned him the coveted Best Goalkeeper award for Serie A during the 2024-2025 season. The Belgian has appeared in 88 total matches since joining the Giallorossi from his previous club. His consistency and shot-stopping ability have made him an essential part of the team's foundation. Roma supporters can celebrate knowing their defensive anchor will remain at the Stadio Olimpico for years to come.
