ASRock drops Panther Lake and Ryzen AI Mini PCs

Tiny desk setups just got overpowered because ASRock stuffed immense silicon into these miniature bricks. The NUC Ultra 300 BOX packs Intel Core Ultra Series 3 chips inside a chassis barely larger than a coaster. It supports up to 128 GB of fast DDR5 memory while offering two Ethernet jacks for networking nerds.

Connectivity seems excessive for the size since the unit features Thunderbolt 4 alongside multiple USB ports. Users can drive four monitors simultaneously using HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort connections. A 120W adapter powers the whole rig, yet the active cooling fan fits into a shell measuring under 120mm wide.

Team Red fans get the Ryzen AI 300 variant that utilizes the Strix architecture. This version caps out at 96 GB of RAM, running at slower speeds compared to the Intel counterpart. Storage remains solid with dual M.2 slots, but the wired internet splits between gigabit and 2.5 gigabit speeds.

External device support includes dual USB4 ports and a mix of older generations. A dedicated slot handles Wi-Fi 6E cards to keep wireless latency low. Both models share identical physical dimensions, ensuring either option vanishes quietly behind a monitor or sits unobtrusively on a cluttered desk.
