ASUS drops 610Hz esports beast for CS2 pros

ASUS released a new monitor built purely for competitive esports, the ROG Strix XG248QSG Ace. This 24-inch screen uses a Super TN panel capable of a blistering 610 Hertz refresh rate when overclocked, targeting games like Counter-Strike 2. The specs prioritize insane speed, boasting a 0.1 millisecond gray-to-gray response time and roughly 0.8 milliseconds of input lag.

The monitor employs an updated backlight strobing tech called Extreme Low Motion Blur 2. ASUS claims this dual-zone system reduces motion blur more effectively than older versions while being noticeably brighter. The physical stand is compact, and features include custom aspect ratio controls for practice. A built-in AI assistant for training is mentioned, but not fully detailed.

This model will be the official display for the rest of the BLAST Counter-Strike 2 tournament circuit this year. It launches in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland with a price just under 970 Euros. The product is a niche, high-end tool for pro-level players where every fractional delay matters, sacrificing other display qualities for pure responsiveness.
