ASUS Gold RTX 5090 Dhahab is up for charity

ASUS makes a really pricey graphics card called the ROG Astral RTX 5090 OC Edition. Stores want at least $3000 for it even though it started at $2800. They also created an extra fancy gold version named "Dhahab" that seemed meant just for Middle East and North African markets. ASUS recently brought one of these gold cards all the way to San Francisco.

Ernest Cheng runs marketing for ASUS North America. He posted a picture on LinkedIn showing NVIDIA boss Jensen Huang had signed this gold RTX 5090. Cheng wrote about how special the card became after receiving what he called an "anointment." News sites think ASUS will auction this rare item for charity. The signature and "RTX ON!" message from Huang should make it worth much more money.

We saw something similar happen before when Roman Hartung (known online as Der8auer) paid $16,000 for a signed ROG MATRIX RTX 4090 PLATINUM back in late 2023. That shows how much collectors might pay for these unique items. These super rare cards attract serious bids when they come with famous signatures.

ASUS just made an official announcement about their plans for the gold graphics card. They said they feel "extremely honored" to have this ROG Astral RTX 5090 Dhahab OC with Jensen Huang's signature. The company will auction it off to help people affected by wildfires in Los Angeles, California. All money raised will go toward relief efforts for those communities.
