Ataman scoffs at Osimhen's price for zero Euro glory

Turkish basketball coach Ergin Ataman questioned the value of expensive football transfers after clubs failed to achieve European success. The coach pointed to Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen as an example of costly signings that lack continental results. Ataman believes Turkish football spends millions without reaching European tournament semi-finals. He considers this level the true measure of achievement rather than domestic titles.

Osimhen represents the most expensive transfer in Turkish football history at 80 million euros. Galatasaray acquired the striker from Napoli during the summer transfer window through a permanent deal. Ataman supports Galatasaray but remains critical of their approach to building success. The coach argues that reaching European Cup semi-finals should be the standard for such massive investments, yet Turkish teams have not accomplished this goal for years.
