ATBU's management came out swinging after some people claiming to be alumni crashed a Senate hearing about changing the school from a tech-focused university to a regular one. Senator Shehu Buba from Bauchi South pushed the amendment bill that sparked the whole mess. Director of Information Zailani Bappa dropped a statement calling the disruptors straight-up impostors who never actually graduated from the place.
The university basically said their real graduates stay classy and would never disrespect the Senate like that. Bappa seemed pretty annoyed that these fake alumni got the public hearing shut down indefinitely after it started.
He told everyone to double-check if people actually represent ATBU before letting them speak at future events. The school's been pumping out solid students for over 40 years, and they're not about to let randos tank their reputation.
