Audio Imperia has released a new orchestral instrument called Glade, which it is offering free of charge. The company stated it designed the tool to be a permanent compositional resource rather than a limited demonstration. This instrument combines world music textures with symphonic elements, enabling composers to layer strings, winds, voices, and organic percussion.
The software features two distinct audio engines. One is a four-layer designer interface with macro controls for shaping sounds, while the other provides traditional, detailed instrument patches with keyswitches. Glade includes 19 instruments, such as strings, woodwinds, a duduk, and various percussion. It requires Native Instruments' Kontakt Player version 7.10.9 or newer and is compatible with Windows and Mac systems.
