AudioKit debuts free Synth One J6 AUv3 app for iPhone, iPad

AudioKit launched Synth One J6 as a mobile synthesizer application for Apple devices. The company designed the software for iPhone and iPad users who want professional music creation tools. The app uses ethical machine learning technology to produce various sound types. Musicians can create lush pads, deep bass sounds, classic keyboard tones and bright lead melodies. The software works as a plugin through AUv3 support for mobile music production.

The application comes with complete functionality at no cost to users. AudioKit includes over 400 preset sounds that cover different musical styles and genres. Musicians can connect external MIDI keyboards to control the synthesizer directly. The MIDI Learn feature allows users to map physical controls to software parameters. All sounds and features remain accessible without additional purchases or subscription fees.

Synth One J6 contains multiple audio processing effects for sound enhancement. The reverb system uses code from Sean Costello who created the Valhalla plugin series. Additional effects include analog tape delay, chorus processing and audio crushing tools. Three separate LFOs can modulate over 60 different sound parameters throughout the application. The modulation system allows LFOs to control other LFOs for complex sound movement.

The interface provides dual touch pads for real-time effect manipulation during performances. Classic arpeggiator and vintage step sequencer tools help create rhythmic patterns and melodic sequences. The app functions as a plugin instrument within GarageBand and Logic Pro for iPad. A built-in record button captures performances and exports them as WAV audio files without requiring additional software applications.
