Auxillia Mnangagwa's church projects spark rural transformation in Chimanimani

ZANU PF National Chairman Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri praised community development initiatives during her visit to Apostolic Ejuwel Jekenisheni Church yesterday. First Lady Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa had donated six transformative projects to the church in 2022. The chairman toured facilities at Mabiya Shrine Headquarters during the church's Passover Conference in Chimanimani West. She described the area as a center of excellence that demonstrates the government's commitment to inclusive development. Faith-based organizations serve as essential partners in national progress.

Rural electrification brings power to the church and four local schools for the first time. Students at Derembwe Primary and Secondary, Mabiya Primary and Nyakunu Primary can study longer hours with electric lighting. A solar-powered borehole supplies clean water to shrine residents and surrounding villages. Commercial farming operations produce tomatoes and other crops on four hectares of established farmland. Additional projects involve goat-rearing schemes, sewing workshops with 33 machines, and sanitation facilities that benefit thousands of conference attendees from Zimbabwe, Mozambique and South Africa.
