Avowed hits PS5 with Anniversary update, new races, and NG+

Microsoft just surrendered exclusive rights because Avowed officially hits PlayStation 5 consoles next month. Obsidian Entertainment announced at the New Game+ Showcase that the RPG will launch on Sony hardware soon. The release coincides with the one-year anniversary of the original Xbox and PC debut.

The PlayStation Store lists standard and premium editions alongside a cheap upgrade option for digital purchases. Pre-orders come with the Emperor's Feast pack containing five stat-boosting items like Wild Mushroom Stew and Darkest Rauataian Chocolate Cookie.

Developers tagged the release as PS5 Pro Enhanced to promise superior performance on the premium console. The studio simultaneously revealed a free update dropping for every single platform to celebrate the milestone.

Fans can select new races like Amowin or Dwarves while mastering the fresh Quarter-staff weapon archetype. Skill trees for Rangers and Fighters expanded significantly to match Wizard capabilities, alongside a requested photo mode and arachnophobia settings.

New Game Plus lets users restart with endgame gear intact while facing randomized enemy modifiers. Fresh character customization presets and outfits also arrive to help players look stylish during the adventure.

Grounded 2 also showcased the upcoming Winter Update, featuring a Community Garden biome attached to the picnic area. Gamers can ride a Ladybug buggy mount while fighting giant Crickets inside the vegetable patch or greenhouse.
