Ayeyawady beaches already ruined before Thadingyut

Coastal resorts across Ayeyawady Region report advance reservations have filled four-fifths of available accommodations ahead of October's Thadingyut festival. Chaungtha, Ngwehsaung, Shwethaungyan beaches and Goyangyi Island expect heavy visitor traffic during the extended holiday period. Tourism officials anticipate this season will exceed previous year totals after welcoming 159,213 guests through August 2025.

The region's 49,197 hotel rooms across 76 establishments serve both domestic and international travelers annually. Regional authorities work with hospitality associations to enhance infrastructure and transportation access to remote destinations. Government visa policies support industry growth through relaxed arrival requirements for foreign visitors seeking Myanmar's pristine coastline destinations.
