Bandits get Dan Zuru, Katsina-Ala gets a road

Local legislators approved legislation honoring fallen police officer Assistant Superintendent Danlami Usman through street renaming ceremonies. The posthumous recognition targets a prominent township thoroughfare within Katsina-Ala jurisdiction. Usman earned widespread respect for his dedicated peacekeeping efforts throughout the Sankera region before his death. Suspected armed bandits killed the officer and multiple colleagues during a September 19 attack near Agu Centre. The deadly assault occurred within Mbatyula/Mberev Council Ward boundaries.

Councillor Chai Aondover from Ikurav Tiev II Ward introduced the commemorative motion during legislative proceedings. Representative Deayongo Clement of Mbayongo Ward provided official support for the proposal. Tyopav Aondona from Ikurav Tiev I Ward added his endorsement to the memorial initiative. Community leaders demonstrated unified commitment to preserving Usman's legacy through permanent recognition. The legislative action reflects local appreciation for the officer's sacrifice while serving regional security interests.
