The main ICPC Asia Dhaka Regional programming contest is set for December twentieth at the Bangladesh University of Business and Technology. BUBT is hosting this event for a fourth time. A press conference was held there today with journalists from various media outlets in attendance.
BUBT's Vice Chancellor, Professor A B M Shawkat Ali, thanked the press and sponsors. He said the goal is to find the country's top programmers for a global competition. This year will see a record turnout, with nine hundred thirty-nine contestants forming three hundred thirteen teams.
Several officials and technical leads spoke at the event, including members of the BUBT trust and the contest's regional directors. A former ICPC World Finals judge was also present as a distinguished guest. An assistant professor from the computer science department moderated the conference.
