Bangladesh aide demands India hand over genocide suspect Sheikh Hasina

Bangladesh officials are ramping up pressure on India to hand over their former leader Sheikh Hasina. Press secretary Shafiqul Alam blasted India for protecting someone accused of terrible crimes against regular people. He posted angry messages on Facebook demanding India stop sheltering the ex-prime minister. Alam says friendship between countries cannot excuse mass killings of innocent civilians. The official wants India to show moral courage and do the right thing.

A major BBC investigation found solid proof that Hasina ordered the deadly violence against protesters. The respected news organization used top forensic experts to examine leaked audio recordings. These tapes show the killings were planned ahead of time rather than accidents during chaos. World-class investigators confirmed the recordings are real and damaging. Alam says when a global media giant like BBC finds evidence of genocide, everyone must pay attention.

Sheikh Hasina ran away to India when massive protests erupted across Bangladesh last July. Students and regular citizens demanded she step down from power after years of brutal rule. The angry crowds forced her to flee the country and seek safety across the border. Professor Mohammad Yunus took charge of a new interim government on August 8. His administration has been demanding India send Hasina back to face justice in court.
