Bangladesh, China celebrate 50 years as friends

Bangladesh and China marked 50 years of diplomatic ties on Saturday, as Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus and Chinese Premier Li Qiang exchanged messages celebrating their bilateral relations. Yunus noted that friendship between the nations has strengthened since 1975, and Bangladesh remains dedicated to expanding the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. Li Qiang emphasized that China values its relationship with Bangladesh, and the anniversary presents an opportunity to enhance collaboration through the Belt and Road Initiative. The Chinese Premier expressed willingness to work with Bangladesh to advance mutual trust, development, and people-to-people connections between the two countries.
