The Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation selected Pattaratorn Passara as their new head coach. Passara brings international expertise to the position at age 25. The Thai national previously achieved a world ranking of 314 in April 2022. His accomplishments include a Southeast Asian Championship gold medal with Thailand's men's team. Recent victories at the 2024 Ching Mi Circuit Kings Cup added gold and silver medals to his record.
The federation established a contract spanning two months with potential extension based on performance. Three major competitions await the team this year. The Asian Youth Games will take place in Bahrain in October. Saudi Arabia hosts the Islamic Solidarity Games in November. Pakistan will welcome teams for the South Asian Games in January.
Passara will guide veteran athletes with extensive experience. The current squad features 32 senior players and 8 youth athletes. Selection will reduce the senior group to 20 members on August 8.
